The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) sponsors the regional service planning website and leads the efforts in Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation through the Public Transportation Division.
The Texas Transportation Institute (TTI) assists TxDOT by providing education, training, facilitation, technical transfer and support to coordination efforts.

The Regional Service Planning website goal is to aid 24 regions across Texas coordinate regional public transportation service across metropolitan, suburban, and rural areas. Participants may use the website to find published planning resources, announce meetings, request expert assistance, and join an e-mail list. This website also serves the Regional Planning and Public Transportation Study Group that was established by the Texas Transportation Commission, under the leadership of Commissioner Hope Andrade.
